It's that time of year again! We have 2 seats on the Makersmiths Board of Directors up for election in this cycle, with duties to begin at the Annual Meeting of the the Board of Directors in June. Those seats are currently held by Brad Hess and Jim Waldron. If you have an interest in serving a three year term on the Board of Directors, please submit your nomination form.Key Dates:

Leesburg Facility	John Carter	Leesburg	We're going to get back to having a regular First Friday Open House starting April 4th! 5pm-8pm. Inviting Members to come hang out and tinker on something, be available to chat with people wandering through. I've changed the regular Leesburg Workday to the last Saturday of the month so the site can be at it's peak of cleanliness and organization when we open it to the public the following First Friday. To assist Marketing in reviving our social media we're asking Members to do a little more camera work and make some process videos. Brad Hess has offered to donate some SNAP mounts to facilitate that. Dana Eddy has graciously stepped up to lead the Lobby restoration restoration. She's got some great ideas about curating the displays to feature the capabilities of the makerspace, showcasing the classes we have available, displaying our achievements, and giving props to our Makers. The Leesburg Flower & Garden Show will be occurring on April 26th & 27th from 10am-5pm. During that time, the Leesburg site will be having an extended Open House.

If you happen to notice the trash cans outside at Leesburg being overly full, please let us know. We are looking for volunteers from Loudoun County who would be willing to run excess trash to the county landfill for us. This would count towards your monthly volunteer hours, and any costs charged by the landfill will be reimbursed.
