The Bambu Lab P2S is a mid-range, fully enclosed CoreXY 3D printer released in October 2025 as the direct successor to the popular P1S. Positioned between the entry-level A1 series and the professional H2/X1 series, the P2S modernizes the "P-series" platform by incorporating features previously exclusive to flagship models, such as a full-color touchscreen and advanced AI monitoring.
The most significant visual and functional upgrade from the P1S is the replacement of the monochrome button-operated screen with a 5-inch 720p color touchscreen.
Processing Power: Upgraded from an ESP32-based board to a quad-core application processor with a dedicated 2 TOPS NPU for AI tasks.
Connectivity: Now supports Dual-band Wi-Fi (2.4/5GHz) for faster file transfers and more stable remote monitoring.
The P2S utilizes a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) servo-driven extruder. This provides approximately 70% more extrusion force than the P1S, significantly reducing the risk of skipping or "clicking" during high-flow printing or when using difficult filaments.
Unlike previous models that relied on a simple rear exhaust fan, the P2S features an Adaptive Airflow Switching Unit.
Cooling Mode (PLA/PETG): Automatically opens internal flaps to draw in fresh, cool air, allowing for high-speed PLA printing with the door and lid fully closed.
Heating Mode (ABS/ASA): Closes the flaps to recirculate warm air internally, maintaining a stable passive chamber temperature (up to 50°C) to prevent warping.
Equipped with a 1080p 30fps camera, the P2S includes the full suite of Bambu Lab's AI detection features:
Spaghetti Detection: Automatically pauses if the print fails and begins extruding into the air.
Nozzle Clumping & Silicone Sock Detection: Uses the camera to verify the toolhead status before and during prints.
Build Plate Recognition: Scans the ArUco codes on the build plate to ensure the correct slicer settings are applied.

The P2S is typically sold as a "Combo" with the AMS 2 Pro. This pairing allows for:
