Although safety is everyone’s responsibility, the committee will be specifically responsible for delivering environmental and safety policy, process, and procedure to the Board of Directors for approval and implementation. The specific development and review process for policy, process, and procedure will be developed by the committee and approved by the Board of Directors after the initial committee is approved.
Meetings
The Committee will meet monthly immediately following the monthly membership meeting. Ad Hoc meetings may be held in person, telephonically, or online if a safety issue arises that requires immediate committee discussion. If a decision is required and a two-thirds majority of committee members are not present, the committee chair will use the Environmental and Safety channel of Makersmiths Slack, or any other means that produces an auditable record to detail the issue and acquire a two-thirds majority decision.
