- Introduction to the Tormach
- Setup the machine
- Zeroing maching
- Checking tool offsets
- Setup and fixture material in the vise. Discuss other fixture alternatives
- Settings machine coordinate system
- Roughing stock to a set size
- Machine shutdown
Class Session Two
- Fusion 360 Intro
- Feeds and Speeds into and high level do's and do not's
- CAM intro using a pre-prepared file
- If time allows we will start milling our blocks
Class Session Three and Four
- Mill time. Everyone will setup the machine from scratch and shutdown the machine
- Everyone will fixture their part, measure their part and mill their part
Recommended Tools
- Calipers – Mitutoyo-500-196-20 or similar (40-80 on ebay)
- End mills - 1/8, 1/4, 1/2 in from lakeshore. Not required, but you will always have the tool you need.
